Our Learning Circles webinar series is designed to provide pre-service teachers with an opportunity to connect, gain practical insights and enter into a dialogue about all thing’s education with Australian educators Dr Sandy Nicoll and Adriano Di Prato.

Learning Circles is hosted on Tuesdays, once a month, from 5pm AEST via our online learning community platform. The 2021 program is as follows:

Instructor Information


Dr Sandy Nicoll

BTeach (Prim), DipAppSc (Nursing), MEd, PhD

Sandy is an innovative thought leader, consultant, and the founder of The New Brew Podcast. She commenced her career in 1993 as a targeted graduate for the NSWDoE in a hard to staff school in Mt Druitt. Sandy’s PhD focused on how primary pre-service teachers and engaging students in learning during professional experience. She draws upon an inclusive oriented lens and her own research to advocate for the empowerment of others, especially pre-service teachers, and women. Her passions include #inclusion #maths #art #creativity #photography #coffee.


Adriano Di Prato

BA (Design), G DipEd, MSL, G Cert Mgt NFP Organisations, MACE

Adriano is a prominent thought leader and recognised as one of the most future-focused educators in Australia. He is a former President of the Victorian Catholic Secondary Schools Deputy Principals Association (VCSSDPA). In 2015 Adriano was awarded Life Membership (Honorary) by the VCSSDPA for significant contributions to Catholic education over the past 26 years. In 2019 and 2020 Adriano was honoured by his selection on the annual Hot List of movers and shakers in Australian education by The Educator AU magazine. Adriano is the former Deputy Principal of Marcellin College, Bulleen and Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, Braybrook Australia and is a founding partner in a School for tomorrow.
